FAQs

Do you offer health insurance rebates?

Not currently. However, the situation should change in the near future, as the government revises its policy on naturopathy. Stay posted.

What if I can’t afford your service?

I want to be able to help those who are financially challenged because I believe good healthcare should be accessible to everyone. All you need to do is ask – please email me or discuss the issue directly in a free discovery call. I am open to various strategies, including discounts for seniors, students and single parents, as well as payment plans to suit you.

Why do you cost so much?

As a small business owner, I have a variety of large overheads to meet in order to operate at all. Not only do I offer longer consultations than many mainstream health providers can, in order to properly understand your health needs and context I also research and plan for your case outside of the appointment time. I also am available to you via email for questions or help thereafter. For comparison: a $180 naturopathy session of 60 minutes, is equivalent to paying $45 each for 4 x 15 minute sessions with a doctor.

Do you work with GPs?

Yes, I much prefer to work with doctors than not! They are the official gatekeepers of the medical world, and they provide access to so many services and referrals. Having a good healthcare team is critical to getting the best health outcomes for people. I am not anti-medical, anti-science, or anti-anything that will help my patients, and good referring is a foundational part of my approach.

Will you make me come back?

No, I will not make you buy a bundle of appointments, or book you in without your input. Unless I really believe for your safety and well-being that you need return appointments, I do not push for this. Of course, I love to see return patients and provide email check-ins to make sure you are travelling well with your therapeutic plan. I will sometimes ask for a return appointment to make sure supplements or herbs are still appropriate, where time-intensive questioning is more appropriate to a consultation. Supplements on Vital.ly will also have a time-limit in which to purchase, typically a few months, at the end of which we will discuss whether a new appointment is required or if the prescription can be renewed.

I can’t find my Vital.ly account email.

If you have checked your spam inbox and done a search for “vital.ly” with no result in your email, please contact me and I will resend it to you.

Can I bring my kids to my appointment?

Yes, if you have an in-person appointment with me at TLC Birth & Beyond, there is space for kids in the consulting room. There is also a kids play area in the waiting room. I realise how difficult it can be to organise babysitting or respite with young children so just let me know and we can work out the best way to occupy them.
